PlaceholderDr. Lisa Shatford is a clinical psychologist registered with the College of Psychologists of Ontario. She
has been practicing psychotherapy for 28 years and has been registered with the College since 1991.
Dr. Shatford earned her M.A. and Ph.D. in clinical psychology from The University of Western Ontario. 
Her graduate research, which was supported by a Medical Research Council of Canada Student Fellowship, was in the area of eating disorders. Subsequently, she did a one year internship in clinical health psychology  at the London Health Sciences Centre, working on one of Canada’s first in vitro fertilization teams. 

She then held the position of staff psychologist to the IVF team for several years, before moving to another health psychology position at Etobicoke General Hospital, where she worked in paediatrics/family medicine.  Dr. Shatford has been in private practice in Toronto since 1991.

Dr. Shatford has a general psychology practice and experience in treating a wide range of problems. She is also recognized for her expertise in infertility and assisted reproductive treatment counselling, eating disorders, and body image issues.

Dr. Shatford offers evidence-based treatment tailored to each individual’s circumstances. She is trained in
Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Existential-Humanistic approaches, insight-oriented approaches, clinical hypnosis, and family systems approaches. She brings a holistic approach and a mindfulness orientation to much of her work.
