I am a clinical psychologist registered with the College of Psychologists of Ontario. I have been practicing psychotherapy since 1985 and have been registered with the College since 1991. I earned my M.A. and Ph.D. in clinical psychology from The University of Western Ontario. My graduate research, which was supported by a Medical Research Council of Canada Student Fellowship, was in the area of eating disorders. Subsequently, I did a one year internship in clinical health psychology at the London Health Sciences Centre, working on one of Canada's first in vitro fertilization teams.
I then held the position of staff psychologist to the IVF team for several years, before moving to another health psychology position at Etobicoke General Hospital, where I worked in paediatrics/family medicine. I have been in private practice since 1991.
I have a general psychology practice and experience in treating a wide range of problems. I am also recognized for my experience in infertility and assisted reproductive treatment counselling.
I offer evidence-based treatment tailored to each individual's circumstances. I am trained in Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Existential-Humanistic approaches, insight-oriented approaches, and family systems approaches. I bring a holistic approach and a mindfulness orientation to much of my work.
